This study aims to analyze the influence of self-efficacy and work environment on employee performance through employee engagement as a mediating variable. This study employed a quantitative approach using a saturated sampling technique involving 65 respondents. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). The results indicate that self-efficacy has a positive and significant effect on employee performance and employee engagement. The work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee engagement but does not have a significant direct effect on employee performance. Employee engagement has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Furthermore, employee engagement partially mediates the relationship between self-efficacy and employee performance and fully mediates the relationship between work environment and employee performance. These findings suggest that employee engagement plays a crucial role in improving employee performance, particularly by bridging the influence of the work environment on employee performance.References
